Beer Cheese Bread

Beer Cheese Bread is a tasty quick bread with a buttery crumb and plenty of cheesy flavor. No mixer or yeast required for this super easy recipe!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 1/4 cups shredded cheese divided (cheddar, colby-jack or pepper-jack)
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 12 oz light beer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Line a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease lightly with butter or oil.
  3. Add flour, sugar, baking powder and garlic to a large bowl. Add 2 cups of shredded cheese and mix together.
  4. Stir in melted butter and beer, mixing just until combined.
  5. Pour into the prepare pan, spreading evenly.
  6. Top with remaining 1/4 cup of cheese.
  7. Bake for 45- 55 minutes until golden brown. Internal temperature will reach 200° and a toothpick inserted in the center will come out clean when bread is cooked through.
  8. Remove from oven to a wire rack to cool.
  9. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Store cooled beer bread in a zip top bag or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature up to 3 days.
