Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a standard loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Stir in the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon if using. Stir just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Mix in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for a little extra crunch or sweetness.
- Swirl in some peanut butter or Nutella before baking a for a fun twist!
- Storage: Once completely cool, wrap bread in plastic wrap. It will keep at room temperature for 3-5 days. Banana bread freezes beautifully. Just wrap the bread in two layers of plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months. To defrost, let stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours.
