- Warm Water – about 98°-100°.
- Granulated Sugar
- Active Dry Yeast
- Olive Oil
- All Purpose Flour
- Kosher Salt
- Salted Butter
- Fresh Garlic
Step-By-Step Directions for Garlic Butter Bread Bites
- Add warm water to a large bowl with sugar, yeast and olive oil. Mix to combine.
- Add 1 cup of flour and the salt. Stir to combine. If dough is sticky, add flour, 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough pulls away from the bowl.
- Place the bread dough on a lightly floured work surface.
- Knead for 3-5 minutes, adding more flour as needed.
- Grease a bowl with olive oil and place the dough in the bowl. Cover and set in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and knead out the air bubbles.
- On a floured work surface, cut the dough into five sections. Cut each section into 7 pieces.
- Roll each piece of dough between the palms of your hands to make a dough ball.
- Place each dough ball onto a lined baking sheet with about an inch in between.
- Cover with a tea towel and set aside in a warm place while the oven preheats.
- Bake rolls for about 8 minutes.
- Melt butter in a small skillet with sliced garlic cloves, cooking about 2 minutes.
- Remove rolls from oven and brush with garlic butter.
- Return to oven under the broiler for 1- 2 minutes or until golden brown.
